A preliminary study for the Temple of Diana at Weston Park

This drawing is possibly by the architect James Paine and shows the Temple of Diana with a three storied domed tower. As built, the domed part of the building was of two stories. This drawing was probably produced by the architect to show the effect that an additional storey might have to the building; it wold, certainly, have had a much more dramatic silhouette in the landscape
