This set of nine dishes, with a large circular dish in the centre joined to the smaller dishes by metal clips, was probably used to serve sweetmeats. Such dishes were popular with European officers and merchants who traded in China.Mrs. Murray, wife of Lt. Col. H. Murray from the Bombay Western Army Command Circle, presented this set to the museum.
