A sister tutor lecturing student nurses at the Preliminary Training School, Liverpool Royal Infirmary, Pembroke Place, Liverpool

Liverpool Infirmary was founded in 1743, and was replaced by Liverpool Royal Infirmary in the mid-19th century. In 1890 a new Infirmary building by Alfred Waterhouse was opened. It closed in 1978 and was replaced by the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
