A Solid Rocket Booster for the Swift-Delta launch is lifted off its transporter on Pad 17-A at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The SRB is one of three to be attached to the Boeing Delta rocket that is the launch vehicle for the Swift spacecraft and its Gamma-Ray Burst Mission. Swift is a medium-class Explorer mission managed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
