A solid rocket booster, on the right, is lifted up into the Vertical Integration Facility on Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The booster rocket will be mated, along with others, to the Atlas V, at left. The Atlas V is the launch vehicle for NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft, scheduled to launch in January 2006 on a journey to Pluto and its moon, Charon.
