A study of a tankard comprises of classical iconography. The tankard has a lid with a section designed for someone’s thumb to hinge the lid open. From A Set of Drawings’ by Jenkin Evans from the Birmingham School of Design.
This artwork is by Jenkin Evans, he produced his own drawings of dies for the silverware. In addition he demonstrated a talent for producing fine art drawings.
