As a talisman to protect against evil, this shell was hung from a cord in the doorway of fishermen`s homes. This shell bears the name of famous archer, so it is thought that this was written in the hope it would give it more power against spells.
Selected as a National Significant Tangible Folk Culture Asset.
Found in Naoshima,Kagawa-gun, Kagawa Prefecture.
