Abram Pinkenzon, cousin of the submitter of the photograph, was eleven years of age when he was shot by the Germans in the village of Ust-Labinskaya in Greater Krasnoder, southern Russia. When he reached the place with his father, the boy asked the Germans if he could play his violin and so he was murdered - with his violin in his hand.
