Traditional Adire fabric pattern photographed at Nike Art Gallery. Artist and designer Nike Davies Okundaye is the founder of Nike Art Gallery and one of Nigeria's must-visit destinations. Adire meaning 'tye and dye' are indigo resist dye cotton cloths unique to the Yoruba people. Adire designs are interwoven with the culture of the people. The preparation and dyeing processes are exclusively carried out by women.
