Adoration of the Three Kings (Adoración de los Santos Reyes)

This Epiphany scene was inspired by Cornelis Cort's engravings. The painting's careful composition uses rich coloring and dim lighting to create areas of contrast. This is a careful study, as can be seen by the perspective used for the young stable boy holding the horse, and the black page looking straight out at the viewer. The faces are almost naturalistic, tangibly intending to communicate amongst themselves.

The painting contains perspective thanks to the various scenes at different distances, which create a sense of depth.
