AFL Footy Focus Finalist, Yarra Glen vs Belgrave

This photo has been one of my favourites for a while now. I love the highlights from the afternoon sun, the detail in beers being thrown around, and the raw emotion on the moment.

The moment was chaos. Belgrave had come from 13 goals down to storm home and win their first premiership since 2012. Knowing something special was about to happen, I ran across the ground at ¾ time to get my camera. I got back just in time for the end of the game, and the scenes that followed. This was taken as the players ran onto the stage to celebrate.

Seeing all the hard work that goes into local footy makes it so rewarding to be able to capture such honest and emotional moments.
