The African Elephant is the largest land animals alive today. The bulls can reach a height of up to four meters and weigh seven tons. Each animal consumes up to 300 kilograms of plant matter per day, dedicating as much as 20 hours to this task. African Elephants have large ears that help with their thermoregulation. Their trunk has two prehensile ends, which allow the animals to precisely grasp for leaves and twigs.
