Chemise-style day dress in black chiffon with red and white floral print, attributed to Chanel; shallow scoop neckline front and back; self-fabric cut-out flower detail applied around neckline; stacked flower appliques edged in hand-stitched blanket stitch; elbow-length set-in sleeves in bell style; self-fabric flower detail applied at sleeve edge, with sleeve hem tacked up to armscye at back; unfitted; seam at natural waist; self-fabric belt with two snaps and hook-and-eye closure; belt tacked to side seams and center back; below-the-knee length skirt, bias-cut and flared; eight inches bound slit at center back with single hook-and-eye closure at top; slit closure at proper left side seam below armscye with seven metal snaps and one hook-and-eye closure; unlined.
