Dress designed by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada
Model: Laura Ponte
Photo: Jean-Marc Manson/Greenpeace
Models are wearing part of a unique collection of non-toxic clothes which have been designed exclusively by some of Spain's top haute couturiers and shot by Jean-Marc Manson. The clothes have been designed specially for the Greenpeace MODA SIN TOXICOS catwalk in Madrid on 19 June, 2006, with fabrics specially tested and selected to avoid the use of hazardous chemicals. Greenpeace recently published a major report on how certain common chemicals such as PVC, plasticisers, flame retardants and others - all significantly affect human fertility by interfering with hormones in the body - these substances have been linked to the serious long term decline in human fertility over the last few decades.
