Yandell Walton used motion capture technology with the human form to introduce actual human movement to the plants and trees, to create a "cross-species form." She embarked on this research project through the Philip Hunter Fellowship, researching and locating ecological shifts in Australian forests due to human impact. She has also been doing some practical research and development using photogrammetry techniques to capture the natural environment as volumetric scans.
