The Maguey Is a moderately large plant with gray to light green leaves with a long terminal spine and a long-term growth rate. It can reach 90 cm in diameter. The flower stem can reach up to 18 feet and grow as rapidly as a foot a day at certain stages. The plant dies before the yellow flower reaches full bloom.
