Painting murals on the street with local artists as volunteer service, I have
been visiting South Africa every year since 2012. There are many issues
such as high crime and unemployment rate, and poverty after the effect
of Apartheid in the country. Although it is very hard even to get my own
supplies in Johannesburg, I enjoy painting there. People are interested in
what we do and start talking to us, and also sharing their dance and singing
songs. I love the fact that creating art connects everyone no matter
who we are and became friends at the end of the trip.
