Aileen Lee

Aileen Lee (born 1970) founded Cowboy Ventures, one of the first venture capital firms led by a woman.
Lee is the child of Chinese immigrants and an MIT graduate. She was a senior partner at a leading venture capital company shaping the technology industry when she decided to take on a new challenge. She founded Cowboy Ventures in 2012 to invest in small companies at the earliest and most critical stages of development.
Lee has made her mark on the industry in other ways. She is a founder, for example, of All Raise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging more women and people of color to create and fund technology companies.
