Otto Schlosser opened a photo studio with his companion Max Wenisch in 1909 in Prague, Am Graben (Na Příkope) 3, close to Wenzelsplatz. Contact with Schönberg was likely through Alexander Zemlinsky, who was engaged as a conductor since 1911 at the German Theater and had a friendship with the Schlosser family.
