About the artist: Craig B. Streeter (Col, USMC) (1969 – present)
Craig Streeter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history from the Virginia Military Institute in 1991 and was commissioned as a Marine Corps officer. He qualified as a Marine aviator and flew the
AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopter. He commanded Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467 (HMLA-467). In 2014 and 2015, he served as an active duty combat artist for the National
Museum of the Marine Corps and was deployed for one month to Afghanistan, where he embedded with, 2d Platoon, Company B, 1st Battalion, 2d Marines. Streeter retired from the Marine Corps in 2021.
