White silver lamp, supported by three chains and topped by an imposing crown closed with imperials, following the model of the crowns of the Our Lady images.
Inscription: “O Senhor Cappitaõ de Mareguerra Ioaquim Carneiro Machado Irmaõ da Ordem dos Eremitas Augustinianos Offereceo esta Alampada à N. S. da Penha de Franca de Macao. Anno 1792”.
Through the inscription it is possible to know not only the identity of the commissioner, but also the place to which it was destined - the Church of Penha de França de Macau -, which, in turn, also documents the presence of pieces produced by Indian jewelers in East Asia and reveals the existence of complex networks of production and circulation of objects, as witnessed by other known works of Indian manufacture preserved in Macau.
