Amala Isu (Yam flour), Wheat dough, Eba (Casava dough), and Pounded Yam are some of the major traditional meals in Nigeria, usually called 'Swallow'. Swallow is dough or fufu made out of flour. It is called swallow because of the way it is eaten; you cut a small portion with your fingers, dip it in soup and swallow. It is eaten with different kinds of soups including Egusi, Efo riro, Gbegiri and Ewedu etc.
