A typical drink for Joshi no Sekku. There are two kinds of amazake; one is malted rice amazake made from rice and koji (malted rice) and the other is sake lees amazake made from diluted sake lees. Malted rice amazake contains a lot of amino acid. （glutamate (undiluted)：101mg/100g）
Shirozake (white sake), sake matured in which shochu (a distilled sprit) or mirin (sweet cooking rice wine) is added to steamed rice, is also served for Joshi no Sekku.
