Phallic amulet

The phallus in Greco-Roman times is a magical symbol with a prophylactic and apotropaic value, becoming a talisman and preventive spell against the evil eye and other malicious threats. This protected the physical and moral integrity of the individual and the family and so they wore as a pendant.

Being an element related to fertility has also been linked to the cult of the god Priapus.
