An assortment of Polymita picta</> specimens, commonly known as Cuban land snails or painted snails, at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. They are endemic to Cuba and exist in a variety of different colors. Often sought by poachers for making jewelry and trinkets, they are currently endangered.
