Andante', on Mozart’s eponymous music, is one of Hans van Manen's most famous ballets for two.

Van Manen chose the ‘Adante’ from the ‘Symphony no.40’ and explains: “For me, Mozart’s music has a stylized formal image. I have tried to follow this, but I have also tried to visualize the tension and emotion that live directly beneath the surface.”
