Anthromorphic funerary statuettes-Culture Komaland

At this time the collection of the Alberto Jiménez-Arellano Alonso Foundation includes forty small Komaland terracotta statues, which may be classified into three groups according to their typology. The first group is formed by five full figures. Two are clearly femenine and two are masculine, but the identity of the fifth is doubtful. The are all on foot and, as is habitual in this iconography, they hold their arms against the body, while their hands rest at hip height or below.
