Antique Newspapers: The Times. Number 12426

From a collection of antique newspapers containing articles relevant to Black British history; these are often regarding the Translantic Slave Trade, however some articles relate to musicians, sportsmen and British imperialism.
This newspaper includes an account of the 'Slave Court' at St Catherine's, Jamaica on 9 July: 'Andrew Marble, a negro belonging to James Dawkins, for practising Obeah and for having in his possession various articles notoriously used in such practice' (third page, third column).
