This bronze statuette depicts Aphrodite/Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. Because Venus was associated with beauty, she is posed as if arranging her hair. Her ears are pierced, and she is depicted wearing jewelry (which is perhaps not ancient) made from gold and pearls.
