This application to grant a residence permit for the Saarland was issued from the end of the Second World War in summer of 1945 until the end of 1946. In order to be allowed residence in the French-occupied Saar region, applicants had to demonstrate that they had not been a member of the NSDAP or any of their subdivisions, among other things.
