Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a four-player side-scrolling "beat em' up" arcade video game released by Konami in 1989. Based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated television series (1987-1996), players control ninja turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michaelangelo as they search for their kidnapped friend April O'Neil and mentor Splinter.
The arcade game proved so popular that Konami ported it to the Nintendo Entertainment System under the title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game in 1990. PC ports released the following year.
