Arch(Grand Staircase)

Sunrise is painted in the arch above the landing of the Grand Staircase, welcoming guests with the rising sun as they ascend the staircase. The characteristic Corinthian pilasters at the top of the stairs are made using stucco — testimony to the sophisticated technical skills at the time the build was first constructed over ac century ago.
