A small fragment of clay figurine from the South African Iron Age archaeological site of Mapungubwe Hill, from its base known as the southern Terrace, from excavation Square K8, layer 7, dating approximately from AD 1220 - AD 1290.The figurine has been pinched from a single piece of clay and consists of a cylindrical body with an intricately decorated tip. The protruding tip displays incised and punctated detail, the upper tip, presents incised lines arranged in a spiralling sequence. This figurine (N212) forms part of the Mapungubwe National Heritage Collection- specifically declared as a heritage object of South Africa.
