Archaeological park of Cava Ispica - rock complex of the fallen caves

These are medieval entrances used for dwellings, daring excavations that exploit the height of the rocky walls and are placed in naturally fortified areas from which one dominates and controls the valley below. The façade is completely collapsed, originally the rooms were arranged on at least five rows and joined by stairs carved into the rock or hatches with an oval section for communication between the second and third levels.
