CHOI Bonglim (1959- ) is a photography critic who also produces his works of photography. Arranged by Chance is a collection of photographs for which he spent three years to photograph moths and night worms. This series of works is the outcome of the artist’s capability to traverse the boundary between traditional and digital photography and his intention to make use of the merits of both of them. For this series Choi used light to lure moths and night worms onto and to arrange them on flat surfaces. In such a manner, the artist successfully highlights the accidental aspect of photography.
