Published by Day & Hague, Lithographers to the Queen after a lithograph by T Picken which was based on a drawing by Mr. T F Lee, this engraving shows St Oswald's Church in Ashbourne Derbyshire. The church is an ancient one which dates back to 1240. It's spire was described by Victorian novelist George Eliot as the "finest single spire in England".
