At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, Expedition 38/39 Flight Engineer Rick Mastracchio of NASA (right) signs in for the start of flight qualifications exam simulations Oct. 15, 2013 as his crewmates, Flight Engineer Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (left) and Soyuz Commander Mikhail Tyurin (center) look on. Tyurin, Wakata and Mastracchio are scheduled to launch on Nov. 7, local time, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on the Soyuz TMA-11M spacecraft for a six-month mission on the International Space Station.
