Attic clay kantharos (drinking cup) decorated with figure-of-eight shield ("Dipylon type") and double axe motifs in the central panel. The figure-of-eight shield derives from Mycenaean tradition and is thought to be depicted on vases intended as votive offerings or prizes. Late Geometric II period, 735-700 BC. H. 0,142 m.
