Ayam is a women's winter headpiece functioned as a protector from the cold as well as an accessary during the last period of Joseon Dynasty. This Ayam is made of Byeolmundan (satin damask) with roundels enclosing two dragons confronted each other. The top of the front and back seam, are decorated with tassels and braids.
