The aye-aye is a remarkable lemur with very long, thin middle fingers. Mainly at night, it goes looking for insects which live in wood. By tapping and listening, it finds out where its prey is. It then gnaws a hole with its rodent-type teeth before pulling out the prey with its long thin finger. It uses the same method to pry coconut meat from the coconut shell.
