Azul sobre azul is part of the series Fotocromías, an endless series that adopts variations in its formal and spatial resolution. Each of the modules that compose the piece is the light and time residue of repeated and timed actions made with the exactitude that the used (analogic) photographic process requires. Despite of the strictness of this method, the chromatic reactions were changing. The extreme atmospheric sensitivity of the paper and the chemistry of the procedure show that even in the splendor of a method and the absolute control of the technique, we can see the impossibility to control matter. Light and color are alive matter, therefore, bodies that are very affected by their surroundings. For the spectator, the registry of another time appears. The one of vision. That detention required to reveal the small intervals of blue that show the contingency of the method.
