Horizontal band with figures in fine undyed linen cloth covered with embroidered dots, reserved on ground of crimson silk long-legged cross-stitch. Guard borders with sprigs, birds, animals, on four sides of each panel. Deeply scalloped crimson silk needle-lace edging on three sides. The band consists of four joined horizontal panels, and depicts four scenes which are labeled across top: creation of the universe (QUADO CHE IDIO CREO IL MONDO); creation of Adam and Eve (ADAM. ADAM ET EVA); the temptation and flight from Eden (ADAM ET EVA SONO SCACIAI D PARAD); Cain and Abel; the children of earth work (QUANO LA TERA CAIN EVEL SACRIFICANDO).
