One of the longest-running successful advertising campaigns, and recognizeable as a food product in North America, Wonder Bread brand still sells. Beginning in the 1920s as a local favorite, Wonder was among the first bread to be sold sliced in the 1930s. Later, the bread was enriched according to federal guidelines, since white bread carried little nutritional value. Afterwards, Wonder capitalized on a health-heavy ad campaign, famously stating that "Wonder Builds Strong Bodies 12 Ways!" What child wouldn't want an advertising paper bank which, when assembled, resembled one of the ubiquitous loaves of bread in its multicolored wrapper?
