Fort Belvoir, United States

This baseball-style cap was worn by volunteers of the Tennessee Task Force 1 (TN-TF1) crew. They were one of the many rescue and recovery teams that worked at the Pentagon following the attack. This cap was presented to Chaplain Timothy Mallard, who had provided religious support to the TN-TF1 team. Besides counseling them, Chap. Mallard prayed and talked with the group most mornings before they began their duties. The TN-TF1 team departed the Pentagon site on September 19, 2001.
