Translation into crochet of presidential scepter. I decided to appropriate symbolic objects of the political order of heteronormativity. They show phallic forms, as well as the hardness or elegance of the materials that compose them. This scepter is a dialogue and an opposition between different traditions, techniques, and logics of production of those objects. Between goldsmithing and crochet, the domestic environment of my childhood and the ceremonial and protocol of state institutions, between the symbology and materiality of Pallarols, the Urunday wood from Chaco and Misiones, its silver handle, and its tour along different goldsmiths in the country, the gold and the enamel; with my materials, hand-spun llama wool from Jujuy and the brilliant and kitsch thread from the notions stores from Córdoba. The agency of a technique that the biopower banned me because of gender rules. The softening and mockery of its representations is my way of revenge.
