BBC Premises Alexandra Palace First Floor

The BBC rented the eastern wing of Alexandra Palace for the television service, despite a break in transmission for the Second World War, between 1939-1946. This plan shows the changes made to the studios following the success of Marconi-EMI over Baird and the refitting of the latter's studio for the expanding television service.
