Yisrael Diner, who was born in Poland, immigrated with his wife Tamar to Belgium in the early 1930s, where he became one of the country's leading players. In the photo, the participants of the finals of the Belgian chess federation cup on the occasion of 100 anniversary of the federation. Diner, seen at the center of the middle row, was member of the winning team, to his left (in a flowered dress)-his wife Tamar. He immigrated to Israel in 1950 and was one of the leading players there too. He died in 1979.
