Berkeley Castle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire

Berkeley Castle comprises a keep, curtain wall and inner bailey. It dates to the late 11th century and was altered in the 12th century and 14th century. The keep was the site of the murder of Edward II in 1327 and the castle was besieged in 1645 during the English Civil Wars.
