Deshish is a dish made from cracked wheat, tomato and camel meat stew. Betaw bread is a corn cracker that is also used to thicken soups and strews.

Deshish is Arabic mean crushed. Grains were traditionally crushed with a stone mill. The wheat is crushed into small pieces that are used to thicken stews.
