There is a wide variety of masks and puppets used in China which originated from ancient religious ceremonies thousands of years ago. They enabled performers to produce wonderful effects on stage, and gradually became a standalone art, with strong visual impact and appeal. Masks and puppets are created with extraordinary skill by talented artists to tell stories, express emotions, and teach people about good and evil. And all these items were vividly carved from lifeless raw materials. The exhibition was presented between October 2014 and March 2015.
